C.D Leganés got a point on their visit to Real Mallorca (1-1). The pepineros tied the match after an amazing free kick goal by Óscar Rodríguez on the 87’. Salva Sevilla scored earlier on the match also through a free kick shoot.
Javier Aguirre’s initial squad had six substitutions from the last match against Barcelona at Camp Nou: Omeruo, Kevin Rodrigues, Amadou, Óscar, Assalé and Carrillo played from the beginning after not doing so at Barcelona.
Salva Sevilla’s free kick allowed Mallorca to take the lead
Leganés started playing with all the intentions to control the match but on the nineth minute Salva Sevilla scored from a free kick on what was the first occasion for the locals. The pepineros tried to react through a left footed shot by Amadou that hit the post on the 25’.
Aitor Ruibal tried on the 33’ with a volley after a Kevin Rodrigues’ cross but Reina stopped it. On the 38’ Carrillo tried his luck, but it went wide. Some minutes later Cuellar had to save the team from a long-distance shoot by Fran Gámez. The first half ended 1-0.
Leganés looked after the comeback
The match restarted and Leganés was decided to create options. On 49’ Óscar tried from the free kick but Reina stopped it. On the 55th minute, Javier Aguirre (from the stands because of his suspension) made a double substitution in which Roque Mesa and Bryan Gil replaced Rubén Pérez and Aitor Ruibal. Guerrero also got into the match replacing Amadou.
Kevin Rodrigues also tried on the 64’ with a cross that almost beat Reina. The locals were close also through Lago Junior on the 72nd minute but the ball went wide. Carrillo had the best chance to score on the 75th minute after a cross by Assalé but Reina stopped it. Guerrero on the 79’ also kicked the ball with no luck. Rosales and Avilés were the last to get into the match replacing Awaziem and Assalé.

Leganés did not quit and continued the pressing through the forwards and tied the match after an amazing free kick shoot by Óscar on the 87’. The white and blues tried until the end, but the second goal did not arrive, and points were to be split by both teams.
The pepineros have now 24 points in the table and their next match will be against Granada C.F at Butarque (22:00h).
