C.D Leganés summed one point after its visit to Albacete Balompié this Friday at Carlos Belmonte Stadium. The pepineros had the best chances, especially on the first half when they hit the crossbar. This is the first draw of the season for the team.
José Luis Martí made two changes in the starting eleven compared to the team that won against C.D Mirandés last Sunday: Ignasi Miquel replaced Omeruo who has some physical difficulties, and Juan Muñoz replaced Dani Ojeda. José Arnaiz started playing in the left wing.
Borja, Arnaiz, and Juan Muñoz had the best chances for Leganés on the first half. The crossbar was hit again.
Leganés started the match with the intention of scoring first and was close after two plays by Bustinza and Javi Hernández on the first ten minutes. The first great occasion arrived on the 28’ after a ball that Borja Bastón kicked but his shot went wide near the post.
The pepineros continued with the possession and had more chances. Gaku Shibasaki’s corner kick almost got into the net in the 25’ and just seconds later it was Arnaiz the one that was close when his shot kicked the crossbar. Juan Muñoz had another great play, but his right-footed kick went wide. The scoreboard was even after the first half.
Arnaiz had the best chance of the second half. Bua made his debut and Róber Ibañez returned to the pitch
The second half started with the same rhythm. Arnaiz had the first chance on the 48’ but the ball went up. Albacete changed their scheme and sent another midfielder to equal the possession and reduce the chances for the pepineros.
José Luis Martí made his first substitution in the 65th minute. Kevin Bua made his debut as a pepinero replacing Juan Muñoz. He had a couple of situations on his first minutes of the season playing on the left wing. Martí sent Róber Ibañez who returned after ten matchdays of absence because of an injury. He replaced Palencia.
Martí also made changes in the forward by sending Sabin Merino and Miguel to replace Arnaiz and Borja. The match ended without goals and C.D Leganés got a draw for the first time in the season. The pepineros have 19 points and their next match will be against A.D Alcorcón on Sunday, November 15.
