C.D Leganés will seek to continue this Saturday (18:15h) with its good streak in its home match debut in Second Division. The pepineros have played the starting match of Second Division League seasons at home on seven occasions, with a balance of two wins and five draws.
Leganés played its first match on the silver category in the 1993/94 season with a draw against Villarreal (1-1) after a goal scored by Antonio. The white and blues beat Ourense in 1996 at Municipal (5-0) after goals scored by Moisés (2), Miguel Ángel, Rajado and Paquito. The next year the pepineros won again at home against Eibar (1-0) with a goal scored by Llorens.
The last home debut in Second Division was in 2014 against Deportivo Alavés
The rest of the home debuts for Second Division matches were draws: in 1999 the pepineros tied (1-1) against Mérida with a goal by Pachón, in 2000 the result was the same against Extremadura (1-1) with a goal by Puñal, and in 2003 it was a tie without goals against Salamanca.
The last home debut at home in Second Division was in the 2014/15 season when Leganés returned to the category after ten years. That day the team tied against Deportivo Alavés (1-1). Alberto Martín scored that day the pepineros’ goal.
