C.D. Leganés strengthens the midfield with the arrival of Christian Rivera

C.D. Leganés and U.D. Las Palmas reach an agreement for the one-season-loan, of Spanish midfielder Christian Rivera Hernández, 22 years old. The cucumber team saved an option to buy the Asturian player at the end of the season.

Rivera is a midfielder that possesses great physique and height, with technique and with arrival the rival area. He was formed in the Real Sporting’s academy, signing in 2014 for Real Oviedo. With the Blues he debuted with the first team at the early age of 17, achieving promotion to the Second Division, a category where he would debut the following season, playing 16 games and scoring his first goal as a professional against Alcorcón.

In the summer of 2016, he made the leap to the First Division by signing for S.D. Eibar. In his first season in Ipurua he played a total of 22 official matches, enjoying greater presence in the second half of LaLiga. The following year, he would play eight games with the armeros before being loaned to F.C. Barcelona 'B' in the winter market. In the azulgrana, he played with teammates as Rodri Tarín and José Arnaiz.
