C.D Leganés visits Real Mallorca this Friday (19:30h) on what will be the first match that both teams play at Baleares Islands on the first division. The six previous matches between both were played on second division with a balance of one win for the pepineros, two draws and three bermellonas wins.
The first clash between Mallorca and Leganés at the islands was on the 1993/94 season (the first pepineros’ season at second division) and ended up with a tie (1-1) thanks to a goal by Peces just minutes before the match ended. The next season the locals got to win by 2-0 and on the 1995/96 a tie was again the result (1-1) with a goal scored by Rodri in favor of the pepineros. 1996/97 season Clash ended up with a big win for the locals by 3-0.
Leganés recently visited Mallorca twice on the team’s last two seasons at Segunda División. On the 2014/15 season the white and blues managed to get their only win at Palma after Aguirre and Chuli scored the two goals of the match (0-2). 2015/16 was the last visit to Mallorca’s pitch and it ended up with a win for the locals by 3-0.
Leganés has won the first leg match of the season against the Mallorquinos (1-0 with a goal by Braithwaite). The total balance between both teams is four wins for the pepineros, four draws and five victories for Mallorca.
