C.D. Leganés wins in Socuéllamos and qualifies for the sixteenth round of the Copa del Rey

The C.D. Leganés beat the U.D. Socuéllamos (0-2) at the Paquito Giménez Stadium, in a match of the second round of the Copa de S.M. El Rey. Goals from Kevin Bua and Miguel de la Fuente in the first eight minutes helped the pepineros make it to the sixteenth round.

From the start, the pepineros formed a lineup almost identical to the one that started in the first round in Ourense, with the only change in the entrance of the right side of the branch Javi Rubio instead of Rosales.  The C.D. Leganés came out strong, taking the lead after six minutes thanks to a goal by the swiss Kevin Bua: the winger received a diagonal ball, controlled the run and made the 0-1 with a big left foot.

Kevin Bua and Miguel de la Fuente made it 0-2 in the first eight minutes

Just two minutes later, the second goal of the game was about to arrive for José Luis Martí's team. It was the 8th minute when Miguel de la Fuente received inside the area and connected an unstoppable whip for the local goalkeeper. It was the first goal of the vallisoletano forward with the pepineran shirt. The locals tried to react through a shot by Pepe Delgado that crashed into the post.
The pepineros were well placed in defense against a Socuéllamos in which the former white-blue Abel Suárez had to retire injured midway through the first half. Leganes was about to make the third in the 41', but Nikolov made a great intervention with a header by Juan Muñoz. With the 0-2 it was time for the break.

The pepineros kept the advantage in a serious second half in which Cassio made his debut

After the restart, Martí gave entry to Avilés on the right side instead of Dani Ojeda. Shortly after, a second change came when Miguel de la Fuente retired with some trouble, entering the field Róber Ibáñez and passing Kevin Bua to play as second striker. The pepineros showed themselves well planted before a local team that was looking to shorten distances.
In the 65th minute, Rosales replaced Javi Rubio in the right side, while the Brazilian midfielder of the Cassio Junior branch made his debut with the pepineran first team by replacing Kevin Bua, advancing his position Eraso to the midpoint. The game passed without great approaches to the areas and, already in the final section, the collegiate Sagués Oscoz expelled Róber Ibáñez with direct red for trying to get away from an opponent who was grabbing him.
The match ended without any major incidents, with C.D. Leganés getting into the sixteenth round of the tournament, which will be held on the weekend of January 16-17. Their rival will be known this Friday from 13:00 hours.
