C.D. Leganés and the Leganés City Council finalized this week the signing of the concession agreement for Butarque Stadium, following the approval of the award by the municipal council on February 27th.
As explained at the joint ceremony held on that date, this historic agreement provides legal certainty to the Pepinero team, as well as several considerations in favor of the city of Leganés, including the construction of a sports center worth 5.7 million euros in the neighborhood of Leganés Norte.
During the time that has elapsed since the approval by the Governing Board three months ago, the City Council and the club have worked together on all the legal procedures necessary to complete the formalization, including the identification and planning of various adaptations to be carried out in the stadium prior to any other project.
C.D. Leganés will work on the execution of all these previous works while, in parallel, work continues on the design of various improvements that will be announced in the coming weeks.
C.D. Leganés would like to thank once again the Leganés City Council for all its work to reach this important agreement for the club and the city, as well as for all its efforts to speed up the necessary procedures to carry out the planned improvements in due time and form.
