On the morning of June 6, C.D. Leganés formalized the construction and architectural management contracts for the construction of the sports center to be built in Leganés Norte, which is part of the consideration that the club assumed for the concession of the Butarque Stadium.
C.D. Leganés president Jeff Luhnow, Raúl Barba from the construction company Inesco and Pedro Valverde from the architectural firm Serdel were the signatories. With this milestone, the club leaves everything ready to start the works once the City Council gives final validation to the project.
This facility, which will be operated by the club and made available to the city's residents, will be worth 5.7 million euros and will cover an area of 3,000 square meters, including a multi-sports pavilion, six tennis courts, an 11-a-side soccer field, changing rooms and a terrace/bar.
As Jeff Luhnow indicated, “this agreement is a tangible example of our commitment to the city, leaving a significant legacy for Leganés, and fulfilling a historical debt that the Club had already committed to execute before our arrival”.
