C.D. Leganés completes its kits for the 2023/24 season with the launch of its second kit. A shirt that recovers the traditional pepinero green, and which, like the first, refers to the club's first promotion to professional soccer, thirty years ago.
As was the case with the first kit, the new second shirt is inspired by the one worn by Leganés in the 1992/93 season, when they achieved the historic promotion against Elche C.F. at the Rodríguez de Miguel stadium. That season, and also the previous one, the team coached by Luis Ángel Duque wore a pepinero green jersey in some of their away matches.
Pure Pepinero sentiment for a collector's jersey that once again pays homage to the heroes of '93.
To present it, the club gathered in Butarque some of the players of those seasons three decades ago (Dorado, David, Mesas, Chuso and Vivar Dorado, as well as Luis Ángel Duque himself) with the players of the current squad (Sergio González, Miramón, Cissé, Undabarrena and Nyom).
With a round neck and the club crest in color and embroidered, the shirt includes a diagonal pattern in gradient and thin white lines on the green. In addition, the lower right side features the slogan "Sentimiento Pepinero" in black, a color that also appears in Joma's details on the chest and sleeves and that makes up, with a white border, the typography for the numbers and the names of the players.
The first fifty purchases will receive an exclusive poster as a souvenir.
As for the fabric, Joma has manufactured it with 100% recycled polyester to minimize the impact on the environment. MICRO-MESH SYSTEM technology has been included in the underarms and sides, the areas where moisture accumulates the most. This allows the player's body to stay dry even during peak performance. Each piece has been joined together using the FLATLOCK system of flatlock seams, which prevents chafing and provides elasticity and freedom of movement.
The new jersey is already available from July 4 at the official Butarque store and the online store. The first fifty purchases will also receive an exclusive poster: a unique souvenir for a collector's jersey.
