C.D. Leganés will play a new international friendly match as part of its preparation for the 2025/26 season. The team will travel to the United Kingdom to face Oxford United, a team that plays in the English Championship.
The match, which will be held at The Kassam Stadium in Oxford on Tuesday, July 29 at 20:00, will be Lega's second visit to the United Kingdom after last year's pre-season friendlies against Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday.
Oxford United F.C. was founded in 1893, and has a League Cup title to its name in 1986, while in the First Division, an achievement it was only able to enjoy for two seasons. This clash will allow C.D. Leganés to face a demanding opponent and to live another experience in a preseason that will continue to combine work, growth and international visibility.
To date, the club has confirmed friendly matches against Louisville City (Saturday, 12th July) and Richmond Kickers (Wednesday, 16th July) for this summer. In the meantime, the club continues to work to close more preparation matches this preseason, which will be confirmed soon.
