C.D. Leganés continued their pre-season training with a preparation match against A.D. Alcorcón at the Butarque Sports Facility, which ended in a 1-2 away victory. Cissé, from the penalty spot, scored the goal for the Pepineros.
Leganés faced their second pre-season test in a good atmosphere at the Butarque Sports Facility, with more than a thousand people in the stands despite the early kick-off time and the prevailing heat. Miguel de la Fuente had the first chance for the Blue and Whites in minute 3, and they had two more chances in the first half hour from Lalo, from a corner, and Raba, who narrowly missed the target with his right foot.
After the half hour mark, and after the break for hydration, the game opened up with chances for Roberto López, cleared by Josele, and for Alcorcón from former Pepinero Navarro, with a good save from Juan Soriano. Raba and Javi Hernández, in the final stretch, had their chances to score. With good play, but no goals, it was time for the break.
Cissé scored Leganés' goal in the second half.
In the second half, Borja Jiménez made seven substitutions to freshen up the team. Miguel had the chance in the 60th minute to make it 1-0, but his shot went just over the crossbar. In the 65th minute it was Alcorcón who took the lead through Rafa, and in the 70th minute Mario increased the gap with a cross shot that Juan Soriano could not keep out.
In the 78th minute, the referee awarded Lega a penalty for hands inside the Alcorcón area, and Cissé calmly converted the spot-kick to make it 1-2. Cissé himself had the chance to equalise in the 86th minute, but on this occasion his shot failed to find the target.
Lega continue their pre-season training camp, and this Saturday they will head to England for a week-long training camp, where they will play two friendlies against Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday.
