C.D. Leganés bid farewell to the USA with a draw against Richmond Kickers (1-1)
The Blue and Whites, thanks to Naim's first-half goal, earned a draw at the City Stadium in Richmond.
C.D. Leganés played their last pre-season match in the United States on Wednesday, drawing 1-1 against Richmond Kickers. Naim equalised the game after the home side had taken the lead through O'Dwyer's goal.
The Blue and Whites started the game with a clear dominance, but without converting that dominance into chances. In the 22nd minute, Duk had the clearest chance of the game, but his effort went just wide of the post. Minutes later, Richmond Kickers took the lead with a goal from O'Dwyer from a corner. The Pegasus side would not be behind for long, as Duk started an individual move down the flank which was finished by Naim on the edge of the box.
With no change in the scoreboard, the second half began with Lega looking even harder for the win. Proof of this would be the great chance that Diego García would have after a skilful play by the home-grown player Siame.
Despite the efforts of Paco López's men to break the deadlock, firstly through Rober López with a shot that hit the top corner and then Ignasi Miquel's chances from a corner kick and then in the final minutes from Siame, whose shot went just wide, the score would not budge from 1-1.
The Blue and Whites bring their tour of Mexico and the United States to an end, and their next preparation match will be on Wednesday (19:00) against Valencia C.F. in Paterna.
