C.D. Leganés drew in their visit to Oxford United F.C. (1-1), in the fifth preseason match for the "pepineros." Ignasi Miquel scored Paco López's team's goal after a good assist from Roberto López. Miguel San Román debuted as goalkeeper.
The "pepineros" started with the main novelty of Miguel San Román's debut as goalkeeper, who played his first minutes wearing the Leganés jersey after joining the team a few days ago. The new Lega goalkeeper made his first save 15 minutes into the match, stopping a chance from Mills for Oxford United, and shortly after, he appeared again to block a shot from Bradshaw in an energetic start by a very physical British team.

Leganés, debuting their new third kit presented this Tuesday, tried to link their play and reach the British area, with Miguel and Álex Millán leading the attack. However, the home team took the lead in the 25th minute through Bradshaw, who capitalized on an inside pass to beat San Román with a cross-shot that was partially mishit.
Paco López's team quickly reacted, equalizing seven minutes later. Roberto López delivered a lateral free kick into the area, where Ignasi Miquel appeared to head the ball into the net with an unstoppable shot for Cumming. The first half ended with a 1-1 draw.
Parity in the second half with Leganés accumulating minutes on the pitch
The second half began with Duk replacing Pauwels for Lega, who tried their luck in the 62nd minute through Álex Millán before Guirao and Naim came on for Roberto López and Millán. With the match balanced and few chances in the areas, Duk, one of the most active players after the restart, tried a long-range shot in the 74th minute that Cumming deflected for a corner.
Uruguayan full-back Figueredo, Jorge Sáenz, and academy players Saïd, Álvaro González, and Sergio Fernández were the final substitutions made by Paco López in the closing stages to give the team some fresh legs as they continue to prepare for the league opener on August 17 in Huesca.
The next preseason match for the "pepineros" will be this Saturday, August 2 (10:00 AM) at the Butarque Sports Facility against A.D. Alcorcón.
