C.D Leganés’ manager met the media at I.D Butarque’ press room before the game against Celta de Vigo (Saturday, 13:00h, Balaídos). Javier Aguirre told the team is feeling great and they will “fight as animals”.
“The squad is feeling great, we are strong and well. Celta´s game will be a final for us. The fourteen games remaining on the season will be decisive and the strongest team will prevail. Tomorrow’s game won’t be easy for us, Celta is doing things well: they won against Sevilla and tied at Bernabeu”.
The manager also referred to Martin Braithwaite’s departure: “I haven’t lived a situation like this before, but there are still 26 players of great quality on the squad that are willing to do their best at the pitch”.
Pepineros’ coach also remarked that the team “will fight as animals on the remaining matches, we must play and give our best on every match”.
