C.D Leganés’ manager José Luis Martí attended the media after the pepineros’ 0-0 draw against Albacete Balompié at Carlos Belmonte Stadium. The manager was sorry for not scoring a goal that would allow the team to get the three points.
“We have controlled the match, mostly in the first half when we had great chances but we lacked of goal. We managed to press forward and recover the ball on our rivals’ side of the pitch, had the ball and created options. We feel that we deserved more”.
Martí believes that the draw is bittersweet: “We did not score when we had the chance but it would be worse if we did not create chances at all. I am sure that goals will come, I wish we were able to materialize those occasions. It is a bittersweet point because I consider we were superior”.
