José Luis Martí: “Real Zaragoza is a team with potential and will demand a lot from us”

C.D Leganés’ manager attended the media before the match that his team will play against Real Zaragoza (Thursday, 16:30h) at Butarque for the seventh matchday of LaLiga SmartBank. The manager is only focused on this match and waits for a demanding rival.

Martí confirmed Silva’s and Róber Ibáñéz’s absences because of injuries and also Juan Muñoz who is recovering after being diagnosed positive for Covid-19. Lasure will not be competing because of his contract and Kevin Bua is on doubt. The manager is only focused on the next match: “We must only thing about the next match against Real Zaragoza and not on the next Sunday match. We need to look for the win from the first and until the last minute”.

“The only thing we can do is make our fans happy by winning”

The manager valued his next rivals: “Zaragoza is a team with great potential and a lot of possession. They play with two fixed forwards and will demand a lot from us. Maybe they suffer in transitions so we must be fast and manage to take the ball away from them. They will suffer is we possess the ball for long periods of time. We cannot change our idea, we are one of the teams that create the most options per game. We need to look for balance, that is the thing we are working more on training sessions”.

Martí considers that each game is key to establish on the top spots: “We need to get wins to be at the top. We have positive sensations from our training sessions and hope to take them to matches”.

At the end he spoke about the time of the match: “It is not good for our fans. People have feelings and in addition of not being able to come to the stadium, now since they are working, they cannot watch their team on T.V. The only thing we can do is make them happy by winning and that is what we will be focused on”.
