C.D Leganés’ manager attended the media before the match that his team will play against U.D Logroñés (Saturday, 20:30h) at Las Gaunas for the sixth matchday of LaLiga SmartBank. The manager confirmed that Róber Ibáñez and Kevin Bua will not be available.
When asked about the news and absences of the first team, Martí answered: “Róber Ibáñez and Kevin Bua are still struggling with their injuries. Rosales, Omeruo and Gaku have arrived with some fatigue and Bustinza is still having some trouble but they will be able to compete and be with the squad. We have worked in positioning ourselves better on the pitch so we can help among us and thus have the capacity to recover and associate”.
“The most important thing about Juan Muñoz’s situation is that he is asymptomatic and feeling well”
He was asked about the group atmosphere after losing against Girona, and the positive case of Juan Muñoz. The manager said that “it has not been good during the week since you need to recover from losing. But we have to arise, improve in the day-to-day and compete each play with our 200% so we can get the three points every weekend”. We have adapted to the circumstances given Juan Muñoz’s positive case. We knew this could happen, the most important thing is that he is asymptomatic, and feeling well. We hope to have him back soon”.
The pepineros’ manager believes that “we are missing to associate and be more compact and score. The areas are key to achieve the result and we haven’t been successful at scoring in the last two matches. If we value the occasions created, we should have won but this is not a game of justice. Being solid, playing together and knowing what each game requires are the things that will allow us to get to the top”.
“Logroñés has a positive dynamic and we must be careful”
Regarding his next rivals, Martí analyzed U.D Logroñés’ strengths: “It is a team that has a positive dynamic, they are intense, pass the ball well, make crosses and have great players. We will need to be careful”.
At the end of the press conference he was asked about the possibility of rotating the team in the week matchday that is coming: “we will try to choose the best for each game. We have great football players that we can rotate but will think and analyze game by game. We need to be solid in the back but we are currently the team that shoots the most on goal in the league and can’t lose that.
