José Luis Martí: “We must continue working”

C.D Leganés manager José Luis Martí attended the media after his team won 1-0 against U.D Las Palmas. The pepineros’ head coach is satisfied with the White and blues’ debut in LaLiga SmartBank and said the team must continue working and fighting to reach the promotion objective.

Martí evaluated the match as “equal, it was one of those matches which we will have during the season. A lot of competitiveness”. The manager thinks his team “was better during the second half. It was difficult for us at the beginning, but we managed to reach the speed and spaces required to get the points”.

When asked about the rivals’ red card: “all details are important during the 95 minutes. The red card is important, but the team was already creating chances and danger. However, we must look after more chances during the game”.

Talking about the promotion objective, Martí declared: “we must be clear with ourselves and the fans because this category is really competitive. We have our minds focused and know about the difficulties we will find. We will look after the objective but will also be cautious”.
