C.D Leganés’ manager attended the media before the match that his team will play against C.E Sabadell (Thursday, 21:30h) at Nova Creu Alta for the nineth matchday of LaLiga SmartBank.
The manager hopes his team will continue with the level of the previous matches: “The balance and solidity have been key for the matches we played but we certainly will face adverse situations. It is an equal competition, and we know that there will be good, bad, and regular moments. We must continue working with intensity and concentration so we can fight to win each game. Many times, your rivals may take you to make a step back, but it is not something you make intentionally”.
“Sabadell is a team with great possession and well prepared”
Martí also confirmed that almost all the squad will be available except from Rosales, Jonathan Silva, and Róber Ibáñez who are still on doubt. He talked about his next Thursday’s rivals: “Sabadell is a team with great possession, well prepared and has a great coach. They deserve to have more points in the table but the last minutes of their matches have been hard with them and have complicated themselves in the areas”.
When asked about the competition among the players, he said that “the players know that we work with different systems in training sessions to make different decisions in the games. Having great players allow you to use different systems since they can adapt to them, that is what we are working on. Every player wants to play and is my job to convince them that there will be moments for all so they should be on a top level”.
He thinks that the team should be able to face home and away games in the same way: “we are working well, and the team need to win being solid and balanced. That is the way to continue winning. The present is what matters right now and mentality should be the same at home or away”.
