C.D. Leganés winger Lazar Randjelovic spoke with the club media on the importance of the last win over A.D. Alcorcón as well as their upcoming match against C.D. Tenerife, this Sunday at 21:00 (CET). The Serbian also thanked the "amazing" support they receive from the pepinero fans.
On last Sunday's triumph, Lazar commented: "we needed that win, because now we can move onto the next fixture more confident about showing our quality. We can do better as a team and I'm sure we will".
Randjelović's name was echoing around the Butarque last week, something the Serbian had not anticipated: "At first I was confused about whether it was my name or not", he smiles. "But when I realised it was, it gave me so much energy to go and finish the match. Also, it was right after that that we actually scored. It was more than impressive and I have to thank them. We're going to give everything for them".
"El Tenerife está en buena forma, pero también somos un buen equipo. Venimos de una victoria y vamos a darlo todo para traernos los tres puntos"
The blanquiazul number '12' feels cherised by the fans: "I want to thank the fans for what they give us, as much at home as on the road; they're amazing. We're going to give them our best because they deserve it. We'll give more and we have to give more, we'll fight righ to the end for the fans who cheer us on no matter the result".
Looking ahead to the Tenerife fixture, Lazar believes that "some victories are needed. This division is unlike any other, and with just two or three victories it can all turn around. So the next challenge is to win the next game, we're focused on that and we know Tenerife are in good form. But we're also a good team ourselves, we're off the back of a win and we're ready to give our best to take all three points".
