Leganés will receive Real Madrid’s visit this Sunday at Butarque (21:00h). The pepineros have already managed to win against the blancos twice, one time at Santiago Bernabéu and another at Butarque, both times on Copa del Rey Matches.
Pepineros and madridistas have faced each other thirteen times in official matches. Leganés have achieved positive results on three of those matches. The first and most important was on the 2017/18 Copa del Rey quarter finals second leg when the white and blues won at Santiago Bernabéu (1-2) with goals scored by Eraso and Gabriel, coming back in the global score after loosing 0-1 on the first leg match played at Butarque. With this the pepineros got to play the semifinals for the first time in history.
Leganés did not lose on the blancos’ last two visits
Both teams faced each other for cup matches on the last season. The pepineros won at Butarque 1-0 with a goal scored by Braithwaite but unfortunately it was not enough to advance to the next round.
Playing for LaLiga it was a one-goal draw between both teams. Jonathan Silva scored the first of the match and Benzema equalized it after half-time.
