C.D Leganés summed a point at Butarque against Granada (0-0) on a match in which the pepineros had the best chances. A penalty kick stopped by Rui Silva was among those options. The pepineros have 25 points on the league.
Leganés started the match with a close occasion. On the 11’ a cross by Kevin hit a rival and almost got into the net.
Carrillo and Óscar injuries on a first half that had more options for Leganés
Three minutes later another cross by Kevin found Carrillo who kicked the ball, but Rui Silva stopped it. Carrillo needed to be substituted after muscular problems he had on the 20’, Óscar replaced him.
Granada also tried through fast plays but the pepineros’ defense did not allow much action against Cuéllar. Machís was the only one who tried from outside and Cuéllar stopped it.
Lega had another chance after a cross by Aitor Ruibal that almost reaches Jonathan Silva at the end of the first half.
Rui Silva stopped a penalty that also hit the crossbar
Óscar had to remain at the dressing rooms because of physical problems and was replaced by Assalé. Roque Mesa got into the match replacing Eraso. On 63’ just after a chance for the rivals through Puertas, Assalé was fouled on the area and a penalty kicked was called by the referee. Guerrero kicked the ball but Rui Silva stopped it and later it hit the crossbar.
Rosales and Bryan Gil were the last substitutes to see some action for the pepineros who started playing with a 4-defenders system. Guerrero and Assalé had some occasions to score but the ball just did not want to touch the net. The white and blues tried until the end with no luck.
Leganés remains with 25 points and will play their next match against Osasuna at El Sadar on Saturday (19:30h).
