C.D. Leganés visits U.D. Almería this Saturday (18:15) at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos, in a match corresponding to the thirty-first round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros will be looking for the victory against a direct rival that they would surpass in case they get the three points.
C.D. Leganés faces the first of two consecutive visits to direct rivals in just five days. Next Thursday will be the duel against R.C.D. Mallorca, but the first of the two clashes comes this Saturday against U.D. Almeria, who are directly ahead of the pepineros in the table.
With only three points separating them, a Blue and Whites' victory in Almeria would allow Asier Garitano's team to move up to third place in the table, having already won the first leg clash in Butarque (2-1). The coach will not be able to count on the injured Tarín, Ignasi Miquel, Jonathan Silva, Lasure and Eraso for this match.
U.D. Almería, aiming to regain their direct promotion position
For their part, U.D. Almería come into the match ready to regain the second position in the table that they lost last matchday. The 'rojiblancos' lost at El Toralín to S.D. Ponferradina (2-1), which, together with the victory of R.C.D. Espanyol, relegated them back to third place after having taken one point from their last two matches.
The home team's coach, José Gomes, will be without center-back Cuenca and winger Ramazani, who are playing in the group stage of the U-21 European Championship with Spain and Belgium, respectively. However, Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq will return to the team after serving a suspension last weekend.
The match will be refereed by the Cantabrian referee, Mr. José Antonio López Toca.
