The new C.D Leganés’ player Sergio González was officially presented at Instalación Depotiva Butarque by Sports Director Txema Indias. The defender from Madrid was happy about his arrival to Butarque: “I am very excited to play on a team from my community and I feel identified with the Club’s values”.
The player already knows the stadium: “I have been at Butarque to watch Segunda B’ matches. Thing have been done well here and a proof of that is to see how the club has changed and its growth. It is amazing to see how humble teams learn to grow and are ambitious” he remarked. He also had some words to the last season’s performance of the team: “They demonstrated they have heart and that is awesome”.

When asked about his signing, Sergio responded: “I had it clear when the chance to come to Leganés appeared. I am very happy. I arrive with humbleness but hungry as well. I want to grow with the club, I believe we share values and ways of working. I have no doubts we will be fine. About the promotion objective we must know that it is hard, we must be humble and recognize how difficult this category is. Great teams with great playerd havehad difficulties. We must work every day together and we will achieve great things for sure”
Txema Indias also wantd to welcome the player highlighting his commitment and excitement: “Mirandés’ great season was also because of Sergio. We are talking about a player that has Leganés’ profile. It has cost him a lot to get into the elite and he is aware of where he comes from and the desire and enthusiasm he has. We are about to face a year in which the club needs players with enthusiasm and hunger of triumph. We are about to face a long and difficult season”.
