Sydney Osazuwa called up for the Elite Round of the European U-17 Championship

The canterano striker will travel with the Spanish national team to Austria.

C.D. Leganés player Sydney Osazuwa has been called up by the Spanish U-17 national team for the Elite Round of the European Championship of the category, which will take place between March 20 and 26 in Austria.

This round will serve as a qualifying phase for the final phase of the U-17 European Championship, and Spain will play against Austria, Norway and Slovenia. The group winners and seven of the eight best runners-up will advance to the finals, which will be held in Cyprus from May 20 to June 5. Spain will debut in the Elite Round on Wednesday, March 20 at 15:30 against Norway, face Slovenia on Saturday, March 23 at 15:30, and close against Austria on Tuesday, March 26 at 17:00.

It will be Sydney's second call-up with Spain, after his presence last February in the Algarve Tournament, in which he played all three matches with the national team and scored two goals. The pepinero canterano, the second youngest player in the history of Leganés to debut with the first team in professional soccer, has already played this season, at sixteen years of age, also with Leganés 'B', Juvenil 'A' and Juvenil 'B'.
