This March 8 marks the anniversary of the last match that C.D. Leganés played with a home crowd in the stands. It was at the Estadio de la Cerámica in Vila-real, in a match that ended with a comeback and a 1-2 win thanks to a double by Óscar Rodríguez.
It was the 27th matchday of LaLiga Santander, and the Blue and Whites needed the victory to get closer to the salvation zone. Javier Aguirre lined up: Cuéllar; Rosales, Awaziem, Siovas, Jonathan Silva, Kevin Rodrigues; Aitor Ruibal, Amadou, Roque Mesa, Óscar; and Carrillo. In the second half, Assalé, Omeruo and Bustinza came on.
Óscar's double in the second half to complete the comeback.
Villarreal C.F. took the lead shortly after the start of the match thanks to a goal by Gerard Moreno, but Óscar equalized right at the start of the second half with a great goal from the edge of the area. In 70', a penalty on Assalé was converted by Óscar himself to give the three points to the Pepineros.
Just a few days later, the Covid-19 began to hit our country, and LaLiga suspended its matches for three months, returning without public in the stadiums as it continues to this day.
