As if it was today… 26 years ago Leganés performed an epic comeback against Español at Las Margaritas (2-1). The pepineros got three key points to remain at second division for the next season.

It was Leganés’ first season on second division and the antepenultimate matchday of 1993/94 season was to be played. Luis Ricardo on 85’ managed to tie up the match with a header. Just one minute after that, Juanma scored the winning goal also with a header after a corner kick. Leganés was alive and dreaming of staying at second division with only two matchdays remaining.
