C.D Leganés will receive this Monday (22:00h) the visit of Granada C.F at Estadio Municipal Butarque. It will be the 31st matchday of LaLiga Santander. It is the third time the pepineros play against the granadinos at Butarque having won the last two matches.
Leganés and Granada faced each other for the first time on a 2015/16 Copa del Rey round of 32 match. The white and blues got to win at Butarque (2-1) with goals scored by Guillermo and Omar Ramos, on that game the now pepinero Rubén Pérez was playing for Granada and got suspended. The second leg match was played at Granada and the andaluces won it 1-0 getting to pass the round.
Playing for LaLiga, both teams played the next season (2016/17). Leganés won both matches at Los Cármenes and Butarque, the first one with a goal by Szymanowski (0-1) and the second one with a last-minute goal by Machís (1-0). During this season Granada won the first-round match at their home pitch (1-0).
