As if it was today… nine years ago Leganés got an important win against Celta 'B' on the match’s las minute at Butarque. The pepineros continued on their pursuit to reach the promotion play offs after a hard match in which Nakor scored the winning goal on 89’.
The team was fifth on the league with just 5 matchdays remaining for the end of the competition. Leganés was about to face a direct rival. Jose María Rico’s team was: Rubén Falcón, Pedro Hernández, Mario, Azcárate, Jonay, Bayón, Zazo, Tonino, Jonatan Valle, Chupe and Arruabarrena. Martín Ortega, Nakor and Edu Ramos played on second half.
Tonino scored the first goal after a play by Chupe. Just before the end of the first half the visitors received a red card and were forced to play with 10 players for the rest of the match. Celta managed to score on second half through Pillado who tied the match. After a new red card for the Vigueses and a play by Martín Ortega and Arruabarrena, Nakor managed to score the second goal for the pepineros that established the final 2-1 at Butarque.
The team was in the fight to reach the playoffs after Cerro de Reyes retirement with just 3 matchdays remaining for the end of the season.
