As if it was today… Leganés got an important win against Celta at Butarque (1-0) with a goal scored by Miguel Ángel Guerrero. A spot on the next LaLiga’s season was practically secured for the pepineros with just 6 remaining matches for the end of the season.

Leganés was positioned 13 points away from relegation spots which allowed the team to feel secure. Asier Garitano’s initial squad that day was: Cuéllar, Zaldua, Bustinza, Siovas, Diego Rico, Rubén Pérez, Gumbau, El Zhar, Eraso, Omar Ramos and Guerrero. Brasanac and Mauro dos Santos playe don second half.

Lega started the match creating some occasions through Guerrero, Siovas and Zaldua. Cuellar also had to intervene to save the team from a header by Iago Aspas. On second half Guerrero managed to shoot after a cross by El Zhar and score the only goal of the match.

The white and blues got three new points that allowed them to reach a total of 39 and keep the 13 points distance from relegation spots.
