Borja Jiménez: "We value the point very much, because away from home it is always difficult. Now we have to make it good on Thursday, Butarque has to be a boiler"
C.D. Leganés coach appeared at a press conference after Saturday's match in Palma de Mallorca.
C.D. Leganés coach, Borja Jiménez, appeared at a press conference this Saturday after the match between the team and R.C.D. Mallorca at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, corresponding to the thirty-second round of LALIGA EA SPORTS, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The coach evaluated the match as follows: "We came here to get the three points. We had some situations in which we could have taken the lead and in the end we could have lost. We value the point very much, because it's difficult away from home and here. And now we have to make it good on Thursday at home with our people, because then it will have much more value".
For the coach, "Mallorca has a very good team and coach. They are fighting for Europe. We had doubts about whether we were going to find two strikers or three central defenders, not both circumstances. We could make some changes to defend on the outside, and I think we were relatively comfortable. We lacked to choose better some transitions, we have to grow on that, on not conceding. The point can be positive if we win on Thursday with our people".
"We are very much alive and we believe that we are going to get it"
The player from Ávila believes that "we have done many things well so that Mallorca was not comfortable. My team did a very good job tactically, in order, we had good attacks at the beginning of the second half. I think it is more our merit than theirs. At the end we opened up a lot and they generated more danger.
Finally, Borja stated that "Butarque must be a boiler on Thursday. We're alive, I've had enough of saying it and the team proves it every day. This is not a team that has thrown in the towel or will do so. We believe we are going to make it and we want to be champions of that imaginary three-team league for salvation. There are six games left and probably the team that wins half of the remaining games will be saved," he concluded.
