C.D. Leganés earned a point in their visit to S.D. Huesca (1-1) in the match that marked the pepineros' debut in LALIGA HYPERMOTION 2025/26. Miguel de la Fuente put the pepineros ahead, while Dani Ojeda equalized for the oscenses.
Paco López's first official lineup consisted of Juan Soriano in goal; Rubén Peña, Jorge Sáenz, Ignasi Miquel, and Marvel in defense; Duk, Diawara, Cisse, and Naim in midfield; and Miguel and Diego García in attack. Four new faces started compared to last season, in addition to Naim, who returned after his loan spell in the second half of last season at Racing de Ferrol.
Duk led Lega's best plays in a first half where Huesca hit the post
After a few minutes of feeling each other out, Duk had the first shot on target of the match in the 11th minute, which former pepinero Dani Jiménez saved without much trouble. In the 27th minute, Huesca had a chance from a corner kick headed by Pulido, with the shot going just wide of Juan Soriano's left post. Lega responded in the 32nd minute with a run and assist from Duk to Miguel, but Pulido made a last-ditch save.
The clearest chance for the hosts came in the 39th minute, with a one-on-one from Kortajarena that hit the post. Before halftime, Diego had the last chance for Lega after a free kick taken by Naim, but his shot went over the bar. The first half ended with the score at 0-0.
Miguel put Lega ahead with a pass from Diego at the start of the second half
The pepineros started the second half without any changes, and five minutes into play, the 0-1 goal for Lega arrived: Jorge Sáenz sent a deep ball to Diego García, who entered the box and crossed to the far post for Miguel de la Fuente to head into the back of the net, scoring the first goal of the season and giving the pepineros the lead.
Huesca responded to the '9's goal with a dangerous chance from Liberto in the 61st minute, but his left-footed shot went wide. In the 65th minute, the oscenses equalized through Ntamack, but the VAR disallowed the goal for offside. In the 72nd minute, Paco López made his first substitutions, bringing on Roberto López and Óscar Plano, who debuted as a pepinero, in place of Duk and Miguel.
Former pepinero Dani Ojeda equalized for Huesca in the final stretch
Shortly after, in the 79th minute, Álex Millán replaced Diego to refresh the blanquiazul attack. Shortly after that, Lalo and Melero, also making his debut, came on for Diawara and Naim to complete Lega's substitutions. In the 83rd minute, Huesca equalized through Dani Ojeda, who finished with a powerful right-footed shot past Juan Soriano.
With no further chances until the final whistle, Lega started the season by earning a point away from home and will face the second match of the championship at Butarque on Friday (9:30 PM) against Cádiz C.F.
