C.D Leganés’ manager attended the media before the match that his team will play against Real Oviedo (Sunday, 18:15h) at Butarque for the eighth matchday of LaLiga SmartBank. The manager confirmed Juan Muñoz’ recovery and the absences of Rosales, Silva and Róber Ibáñez because of injuries.
When asked about the solid style his team has showed in the recent matches and the clean sheets: “I consider important to continuously sum three points and getting clean sheets makes that easier. Our idea is the same, but we have managed to position ourselves better in the pitch and have become more solid. We have ambition to get into our rivals’ side of the pitch being brave and balanced. It is key to get to sum by three points no matter your position on the table, we must be able to show hoy solid and balanced we are and thus create the feeling that we can overcome our rivals”.
“Rotations are possible but without many changes”
The manager spoke about some of his players: “We will not be able to count with Rosales, Jonathan Silva and Róber Ibáñez. Silva has some problems in his left knee, he is currently readapting, and we will see when he is available. Kevin Bua is adapting himself, we will be able to count with him despite of his few training sessions with the team. He can bring us speed, football and pauses. Juan Muñoz is feeling great, he is a different attacking player and will be on the squad.
He analyzed Real Oviedo, his next Sunday’s rivals: “They are an organized rival that play without big distances between lines. They are solidary among them and will demand a lot from us. They are intense, fast, and work well in spaces, that is how we can suffer. Rotations are possible but without many changes: fatigue is not a relevant problem with seven matchdays”.
