Leganes came back from a 0-2 and Vallecas will decide (2-2)

C.D. Leganés hosted Rayo Vallecano at Butarque for the first leg of the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey.The cucumbers came from behind to rescue a draw and almost completed an epic come back. The second leg will be played at Vallecas.

The cucumbers had thr first chance of the game through En-Nesyri with a header that Dimitrievski handled well. The hosts were in control against a Rayo that sat back and waited.

Despite the local domination, the visitors opened the account through Alvaro Garcia with their first shot against Lunin. Rayo hit again in quick succesion through Alex Alegria just 5 minutes later to put the 0-2.

Leganes didn't give up and kept pushing forward and pulled one back on the 30th minute through En-Nesyri who scored his first goal for the club. The cucumbers almost found an equalizer before the break with chances by Eraso and Siovas.

The visitors tested Lunin at the begining of the first half but the Ukranian had no problems to deny Bebé. The hosts gained confidence and Rolan on two ocassions went close to the equalizer. The reward would arrive 20 minutes before the end when En-Nesyri scored his second of the night.

With just 3 minutes to go, Leganes could have won it but a shot from Siovas hit the woodwork. Everything is open and Vallecas will decide who goes through. Now Leganes will host Atletico de Madrid on November 3rd at Butarque.
