Riesgo, Ignasi Miquel and Brandon return to Montilivi this Sunday to face Girona F.C.

Three C.D. Leganés players will return to the Montilivi pitch this Sunday, but this time to face Girona F.C. Asier Riesgo, Ignasi Miquel and Brandon Thomas defended the red and white shirt of the Girona F.C. and this weekend they will give everything for the pepineros to get the three points in what used to be their stadium.

Asier Riesgo played 27 games for Girona F.C. last season, being a starter throughout the second half of the season and in a play-off in which they were on the verge of promotion. The goalkeeper from Guipuzcoa expects a very intense duel on Sunday: "Girona is in a good dynamic, they are conceding few goals and it will surely be difficult for us to hurt them. They are a very competitive team, they have a very good squad and it is normal for them to get on top. The best memory I have is the people I met there, the human quality of the people at the club. As for us, when you come from winning at home, it gives you a lot of morale to win away and get two wins in a row, and that's what we'll try to do.

"We have very good memories of our time at Girona, but we have to show that we want to get into a positive dynamic."

Ignasi Miquel defended the shirt of Girona F.C. on 24 occasions. The center-back believes that C.D. Leganés will give their all at Montilivi: "It will be a very competitive match. We know that they are very competitive, but if we win the duels and go for the opposing goal we will have options. They have had moments in which they have had a bad time, but they are a difficult team to overcome when they take the lead". The defender has good memories of his time in Girona, but he is confident of winning on Sunday: "The whole club was very good to me at all times. Now we are going to a very difficult field and what better place to win and feel confident to keep improving and make it three in three".
For his part, Brandon was only able to play ten games with Girona before his injury: "Teammates, physios, staff... were very good to me when I was injured, and I owe almost all my recovery to them. Now we have a complicated match, but we have to show what we did last week: be aggressive from the start and go for the game. They are ambitious and have quality up front with their attacking players. Winning away games gives you extra motivation and we hope to be able to take that positive dynamic", he concluded.
