Six youth players are part of daily works with the first team since the return to training

Six youth players are part of daily works with the first team since the return to training after COVID-19 temporary suspension. Lombo, Adrián, Iván, Amores, Avilés and Manu are the youth players that are under Javier Aguirre´s commands.

Javier Avilés has already played some minutes with the first team. The 22-year-old right winger has played on four occasions with the first team, the last of them was on the previous match against Real Valladolid. Avilés made his debut the last season on a Copa del Rey match against Rayo Vallecano and his league debut this season on the second matchday against Atlético de Madrid. He also played on the first cup qualifier of this season against Andorra. This season he played 21 matches with Leganés 'B' and scored two goals.

Lombo and Iván have already been listed for a first team match

Another youth player that has already been listed for an official match but did not play yet is Pablo Lombo. The 21-year-old goalkeeper has made part of the first team since André Grandi left during the winter transfer market and has been listed on five occasions after Iván Cuellar´s absences because of suspensions or injuries during Copa del Rey round of 16 against F.C Barcelona and between the 22nd and 25th matchdays of LaLiga. The goalkeeper has previously played fourteen matches with the white and blues’ second team.

The Captain of Leganés 'B', Iván López has also been part of the first team previously. The 21-year-old central defender arrived to the club on the benjamín category and was part of the first team squad in the first match of Javier Aguirre at the pepineros’ bench at Reale Arena against Real Sociedad. He repeated the next match against Andorra. He is currently looking for his debut with the first team after playing 27 games with Leganés 'B' and scoring two goals.

The rest of the youth players are living their first experiences with the first team, even though some of them had already played some friendly matches or performed some training sessions. Manu Garrido is 19 years old and play as forward, he has been part of the club since he was a kid. Last season he played 17 matches with Luis Cembranos’ team and scored 6 goals.

Iván Amores is a 23-year-old midfielder that arrived to the club last summer from Alcobendas Sport. He is currently working alongside with the first team after being a top player of the second team, playing 23 matches and scoring four goals.
