The last time F.C Leganés received F.C at Estadio Municipal Butarque is known for the heavy snowfall that fell in the previous hours over the city. Directors, employees, and fans worked together to put away the snow so the match could be played that day.
C.D Leganés and F.C Cartagena were fighting for the leadership of their Segunda División 'B' group and faced each other on a cold January morning. But the large amount of snow accumulated on the stadium in the previous hours put in doubt the match.
Club directors, employees and a group of fan club members and season ticket holders worked together with shovels and other tools so the match could be played in perfect conditions. Even Felipe Moreno, current vice president and owner of the club, and Luis Ángel Duque who was sports director by that time helped to remove the snow.
C.D Leganés managed to comeback on that game (2-1) and became leader after a demonstration of commitment, will, hope, hardwork, humbleness and effort from everyone.
