Benjamin Pauwels

Pauwels is a right-footed winger who usually plays on the left side of the attack, but can also adapt to the right wing. His strengths include his dribbling, speed, and ability to get past defenders on the wing to finish or assist his teammates. He came up through the youth ranks at Gent and signed for Beerschot in 2023, helping them win promotion to the Belgian First Division.

Last summer, Pauwels attracted the interest of several European clubs, signing for Dutch side Cambuur. He had a great season with the Dutch team, playing 37 official matches in which he scored four goals and provided eight assists, helping his team reach the Eredivisie promotion playoffs.

His outstanding performances last season led to his debut with the Belgian U21 national team, playing his first game in March and scoring the winning goal in a friendly against Sweden.
