C.D. Leganés achieved a vital triumph to seal the permanence against C.D. Mirandés in the Ontime Butarque (1-0). A goal from Álex Millán midway through the second half gave the victory to the pepineros, who get the salvation and will compete again next season in LALIGA HYPERMOTION.
With a spectacular atmosphere in the Ontime Butarque, Carlos Martínez introduced Cissé as the main novelty in the team, with Diego García as the most advanced player.
Even first half with a goal disallowed to Mirandés at the instance of the VAR
Lega came out pressing, with a first shot by Marvel, left-back in this match, which went to the side of the net. In the 10’ arrived the first scare from Mirandés, with a cross that Rubén Peña, in his attempt to clear, crashed into the post.
Leganés responded in the 20’ with a shot by Rubén Peña that blocked the defense of Mirandés, and in the 28’ Ignasi Miquel was about to reach a cross from Dani Rodríguez after a lateral foul. In the stoppage time of the first half, Mirandés scored, but the VAR disallowed the goal for offside of Novoa before the cross previous to the shot. With the initial 0-0 the match reached the break.
Álex Millán, after a cross from Dani Rodríguez, scored the only goal of the match to give Leganés the salvation
Without changes after the resumption, Naim had it in the 48’ after turning in the area, but Juanpa took out his shot at point-blank range. Shortly after, the referee disallowed a goal from Mirandés for offside of El Jebari. In the 55’, Carlos Martínez made his first change, entering Álex Millán in the point of attack substituting Diego García.
Millán himself was going to be the great protagonist of the match: in the 67’, the Aragonese forward capitalized on a great cross from Dani Rodríguez to rise between the jabata defense and header crossed to beat Juanpa and bring madness to the Ontime Butarque. After the goal, Carlos Martínez reacted introducing into the field Pulido, Franquesa, and Guirao in place of Rubén Peña, Naim, and Dani Rodríguez to defend the result.
Already in the final stretch, Óscar Plano replaced a Cissé ovated by the more than 12,000 spectators that almost filled Butarque in the last match of the Guinean as a pepinero player. The blue-and-whites defended with order the final onslaught of Mirandés, achieving a vital triumph to get the permanence in the category. Leganés will compete again next season in LALIGA HYPERMOTION 2026/27.
