As if it was today… eleven years ago Leganés qualified to the promotion playoffs at Totana after tying against Atlético Ciudad (1-1). Nacho Aznar’s goal allowed the pepineros to reach the fourth position and fight to be promoted to second division after five years in third division.

Leganés had led the season for some days on the 2008/09 season and for the last matchday was fourth on the league fighting to qualify for the promotion playoffs.
